Ballybrown is situated about five miles west of Limerick city on the N69. Clarina is the main village area, which has expanded in recent years. Ballybrown is the northern porition of the parish of Patrickswell and is bounded on the north by the river Shannon, on the west by the maigue, and on the east by Mungret parish. It is three miles or so north of Adare, and about two miles east of Kildimo.
